President's Message
15 years. That you've reserved the 2nd Saturday of July for our tournament is a remarkable thing and we're thankful that you still want to come. We're a little late getting the message out this year but I don't doubt many of you had already marked July 10th off on your calendars.

The barn has certainly changed the face of the LPS after-party for the better. One more change is coming this year: we've hired caterers. They are called Wedge and Bottle, a company name that couldn't be closer to our mission statement. We're hoping that this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship. We've always had good food, so our caterers have that to live up to, but this year Kirsten and the girls will have more time to drink during the afternoon so maybe we'll get a bit more entertainment than we're used to. Fees this year are $75 for golf, dinner, and prizes. If you are bringing someone to the dinner or if you're just coming to the party, $15 is appreciated to cover costs (see Kirsten at the party if this applies to you).

Tough economic times have forced the company who formerly supplied extra golf carts for the day which has resulted in a change to our start time: 1:00 p.m. We get a full shot-gun start (if you don't know, a shot gun start means that you are required to shot gun a beer at the beginning of each hole) which should get us through in good time. The good thing about the shot gun start is that we'll have full access to a beer cart for the whole round which isn't the case with the earlier start time.

Thank you to all who donated prizes. McIntosh has already been adding prizes to the table, and the curling boys have once again donated their prizes to the LPS coffers. And if you're in the area, can you spend some money at TST Liquidation on Hwy 62 in Belleville, jus t another way to say thanks to George Misuraca for sponsoring much of the prize table.

This is what it's all aboutNote for parents: the pool will be open and we hope to get the blow-up waterslide going... bring the little ones' bathing suits and a change of clothes. Say, a note on babies: if you met your partner at Leonard P and one of you gets knocked up, I think it necessarily follows that you are required to name your first born Leonard or Leonora. Just a thought.

Finally, thanks again to Peter "I'm Going to be a Dad Soon" Casselman for his ongoing work on the website.

See you on the 10th!
